Miami has a lot in store for both locals and tourist this Halloween weekend, and some of these include:

The Monster Ball (Friday Oct. 28)

You don’t even need to be dressed up as Dr. Frankenstein so that you can go to the Monster Mash. Just do your favorite Halloween costume and get your dance moves ready for the very haunting edition of Ball and Chain’s (located at 1512 SW Eighth St. Miami) monthly Viernes Cultural Stage Production called the Monster Ball. The local watering hole puts on a display of both music and dancing every last Friday of the month with a main show at Calle Ocho at 8pm and then a finale on the Pineapple Stage at 9pm.

This All Hallow’s Eve, performers will be dressed in all sorts of scary and creepy costumers which will bring all of your favorite classic halloween characters back to life in Miami’s version of the vintage “Monster Mash” scene. This event is not for the faint of heart because you will see creatures of the night dancing all around you. After the big number, live music from local bands will be shown. The party will start on Friday Oct 28 and will be for party-goers 18 years old and above.

Halloween ComicFest (Saturday Oct 29)

Comics are not just for kids anymore because even adults enjoy them. Comics also are not for reading anymore, it has had a major upgrade over the last couple of decades going from just plain print to big time moves. Anyone who still remembers their parents throwing away their prized comics knows there is nothing like paper and print.

The people behind the Halloween ComicFest understand this and that is why this event which is supported by both DC and Marvel gives comic fans the opportunity to experience the gold ol’ days by giving away new comics. What is more that you can really unleash your inner nerd by dressing up as your favorite comic book character and what is even more exciting is that you can win prizes for dressing up as well. It is like ComicCon but the advantage is that there will be freebies which will make it even more exciting.
