Father’s Day is just around the corner and by now some of you are wondering about what gimmick should you throw at your dad’s direction. For sure going out for drinks is somewhere there, but what about other things to liven things up?

Here are a few suggested things to do and go to when you feel like doing something new or adding more spice to your Miami stay during Father’s Day.

Seasons 52 is having a food tasting event named Chef’s Table at Seasons 52 on June 17 at 6 pm. Perfect for those who have an insatiable palette, this event boasts of a one-of-a-kind experience using the finest cooking techniques and seasonal ingredients to produce a fine-course dinner accompanied with perfect wine pairings. Speaking of food and wine, the NSU Art Museum, Fort Lauderdale together with Mark Doohan will play host to the food tasting event, Art of Wine & Food Series: California Dreamin’, on June 18 from 6pm to 8pm.

If you are more into techie stuff, then you’re just in luck at the West Dade Regional Library will be having a class entitled Coding for Video Gaming on June 18 from 5pm to 8pm. This class is free, though slots are limited to 20 participants, and suited best for ages 8 years and up.

Meanwhile, the Florida International University – The Wolfsonian will be having a museum tour named Takeover Tour with Tori Arpad-Cotta on June 18. The tour lasts 45-minutes and will be featuring how feature objects in the exhibit are made. The event is also free.

If you love cafecitos then you’re in luck as Well Groomed Gentleman will be hosting a food tasting event named Cafecito Break starting June 16 all the way to June 30 from 2 pm to 4pm. What more is that dad will be given free coffee courtesy of Vicky Bakery Coral Gables.

If you’re looking for something new to do this week or if you want to have a fun way of treating your father during the weekend, here are a few suggestions. On June 19, Mack Cycle will be having at Bicycle Scavenger Hunt from 7:30 pm to 11pm where the evening will be filled with cycling around South Miami to find and collect items while solving riddles. Though there will only be one team who will get the Grand Prize, participants will all get a chance to win prizes along the way. At Peter Feldman Park, there will be a family and environment-friendly and free festival named Night Owl Market Street Festival on June 20 from 5 pm to 11pm. Here families would be able to enjoy earth-friendly activities, live music and entertainment and pop up shows – perfect if you’re looking for something amazing to take the family to while still being within a budget. Fathers may also be able to enjoy the fair because of its array food trucks and, if they are vegans, vegan food to enjoy.
