A perfect season because you won’t miss out on any of the fun. Check out the events below to see what Miami has in store for you this week.

If you are looking for something unusual to fill your week or to bring a whole new spin in art, you’re just in luck. The World Circus Experimental Performing troupe of Cirque du Soleil will be performing in the BB&T Center (Formerly BankAtlantic Center).

This time, the name of their show is Varekai. What makes Cirque du Soleil interesting is that their performance comes with a story. The synopsis for Varekai goes “Deep within a forest, at the summit of a volcano, exists an incredible world called, ‘Varekai.’ The story begins when a solitary young man falls from the sky and is parachuted into the shadows of a magical forest. This kaleidoscopic world is populated by fantastical creatures, and this young man sets off on an adventure both absurd and extraordinary. This production pays tribute to the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the circus tradition, and to the infinite passion of those whose quest takes them along the path that leads to Varekai.” Cirque du Soleil will be in town starting August 12.

The Perez Art Museum, Miami will be having an art installation show named Poetics of Relation starting August 11.

Here artists will be also providing narratives filled with history to help visitors understand the complexity of their artworks. Over at Wyn 317, Gallery is the art show Under the Black Sun Through the Neon Trees starting August 11. Curated by Ivan Roque, this group exhibition will be expressing the story of Miami through their own work.
